Welcome to Chronic Reload

Players: Resident Evil

Posted in Players, Podcasts by Stephen Colfer // 21.11.2011

Wow. What a Mansion.

Hello there and welcome to the first episode of “Players,” a new Series of Podcasts / Radio Plays produced by Chronic Reload. In each episode trained and/or experienced Actors are given classic Video Game scripts and asked to perform them as sincerely as possible. We hope the results to be hilarious, nostalgic and sometimes both.

This episode features the opening Mansion Sceen from Capcom’s “Resident Evil” (or “Biohazard” if you’re Japanese) originally released on the Playstaion in 1996. The game famously featured some pretty horrendous dialogue which is on display here as Barry, Jill and Wesker enter The Mansion and encounter their first Zombie. This week Eddie Murphy joins us as Barry, Siobhan Bolton as Jill and Stephen Colfer as Wesker.

If you’ve some ability to wield your voice in front of a Microphone and would like to take part in a future episode or  if there’s any scenes you would like to hear send us an e-mail. As with all our Podcasts we expect this series to evolved over time based on your feedback so tell us what you think in the comments below and by e-mail stephen@chronicreload.com

This weeks episode is available to listen to and download below. You can subscribe to Players in iTunes via “The Chronic Reload Podcast” where new episodes will automatically appear along with new episodes of our Gaming Podcast.

I would suggest Deus Ex, but then again, that was a game with good writing and shitty voice acting

Buuut Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a requirement. Also THIS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ_FSVWR6ZE Couldn’t find a version without subtitles!
